Imagine growing up in a camp for refugees and never knowing what the next day would hold. This was the way of life for Earnest and Kristina who were both born in Bhutan and spent twenty years living in a camp for refugees in Nepal. Their early years were marked by severe financial difficulties and the strength required to endure the hardships of being refugees. They began a new chapter in 2010 and 2011 when they moved to the US. While attending high school and getting to know the peculiar terrain of American education they were settling into their new lives in different cities in Pennsylvania. Being the first in their family to attend college Earnest and Kristina like many other students from similar backgrounds struggled to pay for their education. They had a great desire to give back as a result of their personal struggles. They were motivated to change things because they had firsthand knowledge of the difficulties that can result from moving and experiencing financial difficulties. The Earnest and Kristina Outreach Foundation was established as a result offering help and hope to those in need.

Our foundation is dedicated to supporting pastors of churches and communities as well as students who are facing financial hardship. In order to remove financial barriers from the path of learning and growth we award scholarships to deserving students. We provide grants to the impoverished to aid them in their immediate struggles and to provide them with stability and hope for the future. We recognize that the moral and spiritual cornerstone of our society is strengthened by churches and pastors. By supporting them we enable them to continue offering invaluable services to their communities and congregations. Furthermore we support and advocate for individuals with disabilities ensuring they have access to the resources and opportunities required for them to thrive and fully engage in society.

Our journey commenced with small yet meaningful steps. We launched local scholarship and community grant programs. When we awarded a deserving student a full scholarship we removed the financial barrier that would have otherwise kept them from pursuing their academic objectives. This was our first significant impact. This accomplishment gave us the will to extend our influence and reach even farther. It was only the start. Our foundation has developed robust programs that showcase our commitment to inclusivity community service and education as we have grown over the years. Our partnerships with community organizations have been crucial to increasing our influence and enacting long-lasting change.

Our work is guided by the steadfast principles of compassion integrity accountability and excellence. Since transparency and stewardship are important to us we make sure that every resource entrusted to us is used wisely to enhance the lives of those we serve. We understand that doing this task by ourselves is not feasible. Joining forces with local groups and actively participating in the community will allow us to scale up our efforts and effect lasting change. Our community-driven approach enables us to address real needs and foster long-term stability. Growing our programs is our aim as we go forward to help even more people who are in need. Increasing scholarship funds creating new community projects and strengthening our support of religious institutions are our goals.
